I bid on this from a grainy online auction picture in Northern Illinois and got it for the grand sum of $25. Thanks to a year of pottering by Karl John Shields and a rucker by Jeff Clow, it made it back to my shop. It was in pretty good shape other than the normal 10 layers of paint and a broken depth guide fork. I always wanted a foot feed and finally I have one. As you can see, the badge has been carved on. Initially, I thought about restoring it, but after careful consideration, I decided to leave it as-is. I think it adds character; I like to think that different operators over the years carved their initials in it, and this is just a reminder of the provenance of our machines. I think it cleaned up pretty good, not showroom condition, but still pretty snazzy.
