I bought this recently from a machinery dealer, so little is known about its history. I'll have to fabricate one tool post, and take a look at the bearings (I'll either replace the bearings or clean and repack the old, depending on how they look), but otherwise this is good to go. I kind of like the old paint, battered and aged as it is, so a cosmetic restoration is not currently contemplated.
The tag lists GE as the motor manufacturer. However that doesn't necessarily mean that this is a re-badged GE built grinder. Albertson very likely utilized a dual shaft GE motor as the core and built out the rest of their grinders from there. I've listed GE as the "True Manufacturer", however, so that this grinder will show up under a search when looking through either name. The patents listed on the motor label are GE patents with issue dates of 1931.
