Bought this four years ago with vari-slo speed option to restore at that time, but I put it to use to help restore many other machines. It was finally time to give this one a much due overhaul. Completely taken apart, cleaned, shined, primed, painted and new bearings. Moved switch to better location, added a light and made a small storage cabinet that attaches to lower table. Cabinet can then be swung out of the way if want/need to drill something tall and require base to hold it. Some members will notice non-OEM tightening knobs for motor plate. Those came off of a C'man band saw and I added as they are quicker to adjust than bolts and a wrench. Headband will get engine turning down the road.
Amazing what a set of new bearings can do to the overall performance! Thanks to a couple of members (they know who they are) for guidance and encouragement. Paint is hammered gold and satin black rattle can. No before pictures, but it was the usual grime, rust, dust...
