This saw sat idle in a shed for 20 years. The original owner was a salesman at Sears, and the shed was full of Craftsman tools, but he had a Dewalt radial**. Love that! The original Lebanex plywood table was still on the saw, even with the original fir fence. I made a 3/4" plywood outrigger and mounted it to the utility cabinet using the 3 original bolt holes in the cabinet side. The table is 46" wide 1" mdf and gives 25" of support on the left side of the saw cut. I put new roller bearings in the head but left the motor bearings in for now, they sound fine. Gave the saw a good scrubbing but won't repaint it, left it in it's "work clothes" as they say. Saw pulls evenly thru the track, and has no wobble in the cut line, so the tracks in the arm are in good shape.
** Admin-BAK, 10/18/2012: Sears used to sell the 9" & 10" DeWalt radial arm saws. An example can be seen in the 1957 catalog.
