Thanks to eBay seller David J. Johnson for giving us permission to use his photographs. The machine was described as follows:
Built by F.E. Whitney, 65 Sudbury St., Boston Mass. This Jointer also referred to as a Buzz Planer is in working condition and is available with a Phase Converter. The manufacturing date is unknown but I suspect in the 100 year range.
2 Knife head 15" Babbit bearings.
In / Out Tables 40" x 20" each adjustable
Length overall. 7' (83 1/2")
Fence 42" x 5" adjustable 2 way
Rabbit slot in out-feed table
