Comments:
Found this lathe in Stratford CT. Owner was a disabled carpenter who didn't know much about its history, but said he got it out of an old mill in Bridgeport. It looks to be the same machine as the one pictured in the 1898 AMMW Co catalogue, figure 75, the Frank Clement pattern makers lathe. Has a 20" swing, 60" between centers, the standard 8' bed, and came with the standard cross slide, complete tailstock, a bunch of faceplates, large and small, a chuck, and a spur and a cup center. It is in nice shape, with nothing broken or repaired that I have found. The babbitt is in good shape. I do not have the countershaft, and will be making a new one.
