Comments:
The attendees at our local consignment auction showed a lot of interest in this saw until the bidding started. I was the only bidder, and I got it for $15. The throat plate and fence are missing, and I am in the hunt for those, at least the fence.
The cast iron legs came with it, though someone in the past put them together as a cabinet with too-small plywood sides, so it looked awkward. I was happy to see that the miter gauge and riving knife/blade shield were included. The attached motor is a 1HP Craftsman, larger than the 1948 service manual suggests.
I look forward to this rehab job. I love the shape of the saw, and the uber-cool brand casting.

Not terribly dirty inside, or rusty outside. A 7-1/4" circular saw blade is installed.

The chroming is rusted, the badges are in good shape.

Plenty adequate motor, which does work.

The previous owner was standing by, and he wrote this on the table as people gave it the once-over. I felt badly for him; he had many pallets of Ford flatfender parts and several old tools, and nothing fetched very much.
