Delta 14" band saw on open stand with 62-142 Marathon built ½hp motor.
I later added the following accessories:
Delta 50-239 dust collection attachment
Delta 25-858 flexible neck lamp attachment
Delta 50-275 mobile base

After using the saw for a few years, I decided to move the power switch from the stand edge to the saw arm.
The holes for the electrical box were already drilled (same mounting as the enclosed stand saws at the time). I used a standard 2x4 electrical box and the original toggle switch. The box was mounted with long bolts through steel tube (automobile alternator ear) spacers. The white material around the edges of the electrical boxes are a foam seal gasket to keep saw dust out.
Below the open stand, I added a split-receptacle outlet with a single power cord.
One outlet is switched for the motor. The other is live for the lamp.

The saw cuts well and still has the original ¼" blade.
The dust collection attachment works amazingly well. It picks up the dust right at the throat and still allows the table to be tilted. It also significantly reduces the amount of sawdust that gets between the tires and blade.
The blade guard on the upper guide block interferes with the upper wheel guard at a certain elevation, which pushes it out of alignment. The guard is currently removed until I can figure out the problem.
In early 2012 I had to replace the seized thrust bearings. I used new sealed 6200s from Accurate.
