A wonderful band saw in the collection of the Maine State Museum in Augusta Maine. Note the great old paint! In addition to the company name being cast on the frame the neck is cast with the word "Eureka"----- A cry the manufactures surely hoped their customers would whoop upon putting the machine to use. I was unable to make out the full name of the manufacture due to the exhibit's low light but Jeff Joslin saved the day by contacting the museum's curator. Thanks Jeff!!!

The Maine State Museum is a must see for the enthusiast of old wood working machinery. One of their centerpieces is a multi story recreation of a typical small-scale water powered wood working shop. The collection includes an up and down saw mill, a Ricker circular saw mill, a clapboard mill, an early band saw, an early shaper, lathes, a planer blade sharpening machine, a stave saw, a barrel heading saw, a shingle mill, and a Ricker bolting mill.
