Saw this on CL and called about it. As it turned out the PO is someone I purchased two other tools from previously. As with the other tools he said he is trying to clear out his basement. He said he's had this for years and bought it at an auction and knows nothing of it's history prior to him purchasing it. I listed it as a Luther based on two others listed on this site. There is no Mfg identifying casting, other than "SB80" nor is there a decal. If anyone can offer further information it would be appreciated.
edit: Based on the 1920 catalog this is identified as a Model 310 with a Sickel Blade attachment on the front for sharpening sickel blades. Sharpening those blades would require an optional beveled grinding wheel.
Edit: Completed restoration. Replaced bearing seals. Photo's 3-6. Not a big fan of Red but it turned out nice and red was the original color.
Edit: Corrected Model name (Grit vs Grid.)

Comments:
Turns smoothly and attachments are nice. Rail attachment is used for sharpening sickel blades.
