Purchased in Santa Maria,CA in 2007 it has no known history. As you can see in the photos it has cast iron legs but not Atlas shaper legs , the catalog states that the stand with cast iron legs is 33 1/2" high these my stand is about 25 1/2" high. However it is good heigth for me as I'm sitting on a stool when operating it. It has a 1/2 hp Craftsman motor from the late forties. The machine runs fine and is a lot of fun to operate it is a good addition to my little shop
