Here is a Carey and Harris jointer which came out of Maine and has been disassembled for transport. Brass name tag present, similar shaped patent badge missing. Traces of green paint and red flourishes. No fence. Nice arching design but technically awkward. The frame and corresponding table halves are cast in one piece. In other words it is basically a two piece machine. The cutter head is mounted to one half of the frame while the hand wheel lowers and raises the infeed half which must tilt the entire machine to one degree or another.
