The Po tells me this belonged to her father and has no idea what he did with it but that he had it as long as she can remember. This drill press was obviously built from other parts and it was not functional when I received it. The large wheel on the rear had been attached to the motor at one time but was badly bent making it unusable. The press however is not the reason I purchased this. The base of this tool is what appears to be a wheel that may have come from the rail road. It weighs probably close to 175-200 lbs and does not tip. The drill press in itself is interesting enough but the base got my curiousity. So if there is anyone looking at this who can give me a clue to either the manufacturer of the head or the base please do.

Yeah that's what I said! This is the PO photo. The table rests on what was a DP head which can't be identified either. Note there is no return spring mechanism.
