THIS MACHINE IS NOT FOR SALE, NOR IS IT MINE, DON'T ASK, AND NO I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE YOUR ITEM "X" FOR IT. THIS IS NOT A SALES FORUM AND I DO NOT HAVE MACHINERY FOR SALE HERE.
I purch'd this saw in Orchard Park, a suburb of Buffalo, NY and it is now the property of another VM member here: Brian S. of Elma, NY. Email me w/any questions. Otherwise I don't know much of a back story on it, the former owner is an electrician so all of the electrical and the motor are in good shape, he had used it in his blade sharpening and machinist home business. He refurbished everything. The blade is a bit worse for wear, but that can be replaced. It is pure speculation, but this may have belonged to the "Bell" (aerospace, aeronautical?) firm at one time, and will hopefully wind up in museum devoted to the aerospace/aeronautical industry in the Niagara Falls area of western NY. The name of "WOLFF" may have some connection to the Buffalo Pitts tractor firm, also of Buffalo, NY. If I recall correctly, it is thought that the hack saw was designed/built/patent applied for by a former Pitts employee, but I'm not 100% positive. More research is required.
