This was my very first restoration project!

Picked this up from a fellow member of our woodworking club in Toledo, Ohio. He'd hauled it back from Georgia if I recall correctly intending to restore it, but never got around to it and passed it along to me for $250. It was complete except for the scale and pointer for the fence bevel adjustment and the thumb-screws to secure the cast iron back panel. It was partially disassembled and a bit rusty, and some of the mounting studs for the motor mounting plate were boogered up pretty good. The "buck rogers" handwheels were badly corroded and devoid of most of the plating, so I replaced them with some plain-vanilla handwheels, and the switch box and switch plate were pretty much toast. A fellow OWWM'er supplied a resin replacement switch box, another had a NOS switch, and I made the replacement switch plate (of which I'm inordinately proud - it turned out very nicely as you can see in one of the pics below!)

Everything cleaned up very nicely and it's been serving me well for about four years. I just recently upgraded it with a Byrd Shelix cutter head, and it is a very sweet little machine.
