>>MACHINE<<
Sears Craftsman 24" walking beam, 6" blade, scroll saw.
Cast iron body with built-in lamp (7½W).
Ball bearing drive shaft with 5" and 6" 2-step pulley.
This saw is equipped with ball bearing guides, that were introduced in the 1955/56 timeframe on the 18" scroll saw. This model saw is shown to have grooved plastic stick type guides. The model number is shown to change when the saw was equipped with ball bearing guides and a 15W lamp. I'm guessing that this saw was built right near the change-over and got the new ball bearing guides (this is just a theory of mine).
The front trunnion is slightly damaged from over-tightening by the previous owner.
The previous owner drilled four holes in the table, presumeably for an auxiliary top.
The top access plug and hex wrench rubber grommet is missing. (I'll have to fabricate something.)
I plan to do repairs and clean-up and put it into service.

>>HISTORY<<
I obtained this machine from a friend that found it at an estate sale.
No further history is known.

UPDATE-September 2016:
I no longer own this saw--sold it to a fellow OWWMer.
