I believe this to be one of the first of the NEW! Delta "De-Luxe" Scroll Saws No. 1200. This came with most of the available accessories and on a nice 3 drawer cabinet made by the original owner, who was a dentist. The cabinet has an oil drain pan built into it with a tube running out to the side. This is first I noticed that the earliest of these 24" saws had a thinner table. Some notable features are an extra, third link on the light and a No. 900 repulsion induction motor, the highest priced of the 1/3 hp motors available at the time which was an improvement beyond the catalog recommendation.
In researching this I found that it was described as a self contained unit but could be mounted on the steel stand No. 716 that was made for the No. 700 scroll saw. In 1935 they suggest a wood top and drilling holes to suit the base so this was pre J or "hook" bolts. In '36 they offer the bolts and in '37 a belt guard was available.
