I picked this lathe up at a neighborhood yard sale which had lots of old tools. I asked the owner if by chance he had any machines for sale and we walked next door to his shop and there she sat. It was love at first site! She was complete and his only working lathe. I told the gentleman that there was no way I could afford a machine like this before even hearing a price. He said he wanted $200 for everything, and I whipped out half and told him I would bring the rest the next day and a helper to load it.
Unknown to me at that time, it included a Delta Rockwell duplicator (which I sold for $210), compound slide rest, two banjo's, four tool rests, three faceplates, six turning chisels, Rockwell 4" 4 jaw chuck (sold $125), and more. Two full tool boxes overfull of goodies (sold $175). I really felt like I had won the lottery. This is my pride and joy even before a full resto will take place. I believe it is about 1937 to 1939. No signs of ever having a serial number tag nor the wt badge on the face of the bed. The only badge was the wt wood/metal one on the front cast cover of the headstock cabinet.
