This machine was the subject of a post on OWWM.org by Michael R. Grauer, Associate Director for Curatorial Affairs/Curator of Art Acting Curator of Weapons, Sports, and Ranching Heritage at the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum in Canyon, Texas.
He writes:
We own several machines from the shop of well-known Truscott, Texas, spurmaker Adolph Bayers, including an industrial-sized, belt-driven Champion Blower and Forge Company pedestal grinder. I have come up empty handed for a patent date on our particular model. I would be much obliged for some help.
