Comments:
I bought a basement full of junk off a guy just to get this drill press. He heard I was looking for old tools and did not want to heave these out. They were his Dad's and they had sold the family house. None of the other kids wanted the junk so off it went. It was a good deal for $150. considering we had the truck box, behind the seat and the cab full to the brim with junk, old tools and other strange vintage things. Took days to go through it all to sort it out before we realized that it was a far better deal than I first thought. The drill press sat in my storage for quite some time before I finally pulled it out and tried it. I even found the original manual in readable but rough shape when I went through the junk afterwards. I will upload it when I get a chance to scan it. Right now I like using this one even better than my 47 Walker Turner. It is so smooth it is unreal. As you can see in the pics I mounted it on top of my Miller 180 Syncrowave. Every bit of space in my studio gets used to the max as you could see by checking out my website flamingsteel.com. At some point I plan to change the motor on it once I find another cone pulley. It runs, but smells and sounds a little weak. Sweet original un-tampered patina!!! I find it hard to believe I used to have a plastic drill press a few years ago.... mind you it did have a nice solid name.... Ridged... or something.

Comments: My favorite drill press to date. Luckily no "Arc of Shame" as I have heard it refered to here on this site.
