I purchased the saw this year from a man who apparently acquired it from a gentlemen in East Palo Alto, CA. I knew exactly what it was when I saw the rusty image, shown below. After purchasing the machine I took it apart, order new bearings, cleaned it up, and reassembled. Of course, the "cleaned it up" part took some work as you might guess-- and the bearings were very loose, requiring some finessing. But with some adjustments, alignment/tension of the pulleys, and a little love- the saw runs surprisingly well, very accurate and clean cuts.
The crank knobs are both broken off though, gotta find some.
