Comments:
Despite this jointer having a rather rough appearance when I first acquired it this machine was a very good starting point for a complete restoration. First, it had all it's original parts, including the factory stand and what could possibly be the original motor. Second, it hadn't been modified or otherwise butchered by previous owner's, and finally it all came apart fairly easily with only moderate persuasion necessary to disassemble the cutterhead from the shaft. With new bearings and a new power cord it's good to go for several more decades.
A notable feature is that this jointer has plain square ways, not dovetails. Power is transmitted via twin v-belts running on double groove cast iron sheaves which are enclosed in the fabricated perforated steel guard.
