We got this from a friend whose dad was a machinist. It had sat in her garage for many years after he died. Except for a little surface rust and some chipped paint, the machine was perfectly fine. We brought her to her new home, cleaned her up and oiled her, replaced the belt and now she is in almost daily use. In the back of some of the pictures you'll see a homemade phase shifter that came with the mill. While this worked for the most part, it didn't work very well at higher speeds. The motor got really hot and smoked pretty badly, so I reconnected it to a rotary phase converter and now everything works fine.
