Anyone know what purpose this lathe is for? It has counter sunk ends in the aligned shafts to hold something, and it has a metal cutting blade or tip. I don't know a thing about metal lathes other than I destroyed one in high school metal shop by cutting too much metal and it stripped a main gear. It has no motor or any type of pully for power. More than likely there are critical parts missing ( or not depending on the purpose of this tool) but it's just too cool to sell as scrap. It weighs about 40 lbs. Given to me along with an old tilting arbor table saw from 1950 and a Delta Homecraft 4" jointer which will be put up on site after refurbishing. Update...after cleaning and studying...it's a commutator lathe.
