Comments:
I bought this planer about 1994 for $500, and completely dismantled it to move it. The drive motor is 7.5 Hp, 220 VAC 3600 RPM synchronous. The feed drive had been replaced with a separate 1 Hp motor with gearbox speed reducer. There are two knives, and the maximum thickness capacity is 2". The bearings are babbitt metal and are in fair condition. The planer works well, and because of the synchronous motor, it will plane a 12" wide oak board without slowing down. The planer was apparently owned at one time by the Noble Machine Company of Fort Wayne, Indiana (see Photo 3)
