Comments:
This is a United States Electrical Tool Co. 10" Utility Grinder on pedestal. It is believed to be from around 1943. It was from the Indianapolis In. area, and was sold by the State Machinery Co. to a local Indy school system. This machine has a brass badge stating "National Defense Training Equipment" and "INDPLS 416" is stamped on the badge. Probably sold to Indy school for training students with the necessary skills needed for war effort. After new motor bearings, paint and wheels it is as good as first built. Would be interesting to know more about Defense Training implications.
