This machine as well as 20 or so other steam engines is on display at the Florida State Fair Grounds steam engine exhibit. this steam engine / air compressor is enormous, it's around 30' by 6' and the fly wheel is around 7 feet. it spent its life in Lakeland, Fl compressing air for Lakeland waterworks from 1912 - 1949. it was made by Ingersoll-Rand, New York and the model is Imperial type 10. ill have to go back and gat a pic of the mfg. badge on the boiler.
