One of my earliest memories and fascinations was with this 'guillotine" as it was called. It was set up on a pair of horses inside a house being trimmed out along with a Stanley Miter Box. I was told, "Don't touch that, it's sharp as a razor and will cut your finger off". After seeing what it did to wood I believed them and didn't touch it. So it has been in the family since I can remember but do not know when it was made. I didn't think to ask Dad about it because it was always around. When I think of all the work that was done with this tool and the "power" Stanley miter box I get tired. It looks as it did then, nothing has been done to it save sharpen the blade and you know what? It'll still cut your finger off! because it's as sharp as a razor.
