This was my grandfathers, then my fathers, then mine, then a friend of mine, and now it is mine and my dads again.
I put a 1hp dc motor and true variable speed controller from a treadmill on the drill and I love it for cutting steel at motor speed 200 rpm, the drill speed is less because I have it on the big pulley on the drill and the treadmill pulley is 1.75". I thought I would have trouble with the pulley on the treadmill but the belt finds its place and stays put.
