I inherited this drill press from my grandfather and have since restored all of it except the drill, which is removable and not of the same maker. being that the machine color was non-existant upon manufacture (brushed aluminum) i had only the nameplate to match the color to. the resoration was tough, and though i tried hard and spent many an hour at the wire wheel, i still was unable to get some of the grime off. as far as I can tell from the diagram on sears website, all the parts are there. I have not seen any of these models posted on this site, so i take it that this was a budget drill press or that few where made. though i now have a 1951 floor model dp that i snatched up for $100 i will still continue to use this one from time to time probably. any information as to the date of manufacture would be appreciated. Thanks.
