Bought at a garage sale. Thanks to Jeff Joslin I have learned that a patent application for this saw was made in July 1930 and granted in October 1931. The name plate attached to the upper arm states Pat. Pend., so presumably the saw was manufactured before Oct. 1931.

A lithographed label on the lower arm states that the saw was Supplied by National Machinery, Vancouver, B.C.

The saw, as can be seen in the photos is attached directly to a GE motor. It has a 16" depth of cut and an 8" by 6", non-tilting table. The saw was originally painted a burgundy colour. Most of the paint still remains. The saw obviously needs a good cleaning.

The saw easily cuts through a 3/4" board.
