Comments:
I purchased the lathe off of craigslist on May 12th 2012 for $80. The seller was the grandson of the original owner. It had been stored in the basement for several years and made many moves before coming to me. This is the 930 as it did not come with the stand. As the pictures indicate, it does not currently have a motor, but does have the banjo, faceplate, dead center and spur drive, as well as the two tool rests. I am currently breaking it down to remove surface rust and prep for priming and repainting. Additionally, I will build a beefy stand for it. I currently have a benchtop lathe and am looking forward to the additional swing and bed length. The bearings seem to be in great shape. As it has the painted on "Double Duty" tag, I am assuming this is the older 1930s Delta Specialty Lathe. If anyone has suggestions as to how to handle the "badge" in the restoration I am open to hearing it. My first thought is to replace the tag with a copy after repainting, but this may be more difficult than I hope it to be.

Comments: Here is the lathe as it sits on my workbench waiting restoration. You can see all the parts that were included in the sale. Again, not motor or stand were part of the sale.
