Bought this from a local guy who had advertised it on CL. It had belonged to his grandfather originally, then his father. Possibly the grandfather came from Quebec. Now dad had moved into a home (with a modern workshop!) and no longer needed these older tools. He had a small Delta bandsaw and an unknown tablesaw as well, both also painted orange. Vendor told me he thought the blades were sharp on the jointer because he was pretty sure his dad had sharpened them once.(!)
This one has the guard which is nice, I can use it to make a guard for my other Continental 6" jointer which is missing its guard.
