This shaper was acquired from a collage in southern Alberta, I bought two of them and sold one after refurbishing it and kept this one for myself. It has a three phase Baldor 3hp motor in it, powered by a VFD. Richard rebuilt the spindle cartridge for me, I replaced the bearings in the motor and lift mechanism, replaced the belt and electrical wiring and controls. I didn`t bother repainting as I don`t think it was required at the time of the rebuild. This shaper came with a different extension wing than I have seen in the past it was pre drilled for a feeder it also has what seems to be legs on the bottom side so that it would sit flat when the holes where drilled out from the top, you can see it on the left of the machine. I added a picture of it upside down on my bench with two of the ordinary extensions behind it.
