I bought this lathe a few years ago. PO was relocation/down-sizing etc. Most moving parts were stuck with rust.
Or 4-5 coats of paint. I got interested recently and cleaned it up. 4 speed / 1/2 hp 3 ph motor. caused to upgrade the power in my shop to 3phase.
draws 2 amps per phase. NO vibration what so ever.
Out board spindle is 1" 8tpi., Inboard spindle is 1 1/8, 8 tpi. Out board spindle was bent a little., BUT of course, this lathe had been beat on some time in it's life.
Stripped 4-5 coats old paint. Rustoleum Dark Machine Gray over auto primer. Plasti-Kote Old Ford Blue at the motor housing.
Another OWWM'r took his mag. switch housing to the foundry as a pattern to match the cover missing on this lathe.
