I acquired this vertical mill from a clock manufacturing company in Chicago in 2002. The mill is aproximattely 1/3rd the size of the common large models you usually see. I was told by the person I bought from that the machine is a "model makers" mill and that they are very uncommon. I have never seen another one for sale but have heard of other machines being out their. I would like to know more about the machine or at least how many were made? To my amazment, parts can still be acquired through Atlas tool company. When I intially bought the mill it had one, two or three collets, luckily I easily acquired the rest and they were not expensive at all. The Mill works as good as any of the larger sized Clausing or Bridgeport mills I have used in the past and I use if for nearly everything I make both in wood or in metal.
