I just purchased this machine through a classified ad. Besides a little surface rust, from lack of use, it was in very good shape. All it needed was a good cleaning, new bearings, and a bit of touch-up paint.
The only part that was in bad shape was the paint on the guards, which was pretty scuffed. I decided to sand them down and repaint them. But I discovered that they were really good quality cast iron. So instead, I opted to sand them down, polish, wax and leave them as-is. Took only about one hour per guard.
My favorite part of this machine is its looooooong fence, you can really guide and control the wood very easily. It also has "dead-on" settings for -45 degrees, 90 degrees and +45 degrees.
