I was at an auction and they got to this Powermatic 180 planer that I thought was interesting but I was not planning on bidding on it. The auction got to about $400 and was starting to feel as though it was topping out. I thought $400?!? and I held up my number. The auctioneer looked at the other bidder and he nodded ‘no’ and he turned to me and said $425 and it was mine. In about 5 seconds I went from not planning on biding on, to owning a Powermatic 180. this planer had the quiet cutter head in it. it did not come with a sharpener, I have tracked one down. It fires right up and works great. It has a 7.5 horsepower motor
