Nice old planer offered on ebay with an auction end date of March 28, 2004. Seller added the following:

This is an American jointer that is in excellent working condition. I painted it about ten years ago with Sherwin-Williams Industrial enamel and took the beds and had them surfaced at a machine shop to insure flatness and make them clean. The two knife cutterhead works great and the old babbet bearings were replaced with pillow block bearings by an old machinist. The motor is 3 hp. 3 phase, and it is driven by three v-belts. The tables are 75" long together. I used it to flatten lumber before planing it to end up with really flat stock (the only way to do it right). I built furniture for years using this machine and it even cuts hard maple very well. It's very heavy but I don't know exactly what it weighs. I would guess maybe 800 to 1000 lbs.
