I was given this machine from a local contractor in my town, who purchased an entire shop from an estate sale. He never used this machine, but it was clear the owner before him abused it. Grit and grime had gotten in between the cutterhead shaft and inner diameter of the bearing and pitted the shaft 1/32" causing extreme vibration. Had a friend machine the shaft down to fresh material, installed a press-fit bushing and all new bearings. A full cleaning, new paint, new belts, and new knives made this machine happy again. She's quiet as can be now. Currently looking for a dust hood though--I'm not surprised its unavailable. If any one has an idea of what it might be worth now after rehab, please let me know--I'd love to hear your thoughts.
