A very large (and heavy) double disc sander badged as Metalclad. Manufactured by George Cohen Sons & CO Ltd. London-Leeds-Brmingham-Glasgow-Etc. I saw this sander in a shop in Chesterfield, Derbyshire UK this past week. I ended up buying it along with several other machines. The owner was retiring from the patternmaking business. Included in the sale was a Wadkin PK, a huge RU lathe, a pattern miller and an EP spindle moulder. The last job these machines were used on was the restoration of the gates at St. James Palace. The previous owner walked me through the process and showed me the catalog of patterns for the job.
