Recently I decided to narrow my focus of collecting old woodworking machines from having 4 of each of the common types of machines; tablesaw, jointer, drill press, lathe, planer, bandsaw, to working towards acquiring 2 each of one brand or lineage. I own more powermatic than any other single brand, but always prefer the engineering and castings of delta/rockwell and crescent. Comparing a modell 66 to a unisaw, or a model 68 or 72 to this saw, I made the right choice for me in reducing the powermatics and collecting the deltas. Powermatics sell at quite a premium to deltas in my area, but here are comparison thoughts;

The access door in the base has a better edge stamping, and the knob is a cast round item, compare to a 72's twist piece. The dust collection port is an aligned fabrication with edge positioning locators, spot welded in place, then clamped with serviceable hardware, compare to a 68 or 72 with sheet metal screws. The miter guide arm has machined sholders with a centered releif on the bottom side. Unlike the washer design of my 68 or 72, this design does not have any side deflection play and with the underside machining it will slide with a little crud in the slot. The motor cover is rounded, has louvers, and can be removed without effecting the mounting hardware, my 68/72 use sheet metal screws without body clips and have square corners to chip paint from. The throat plate is cast iron, the 68/72 is aluminum, guess if it were to hit a blade I would rather the aluminum, but this one is dead flat, less than .0005 on a 63 rms surface, and has 4 jacking points.

This machine was purchased last week off CL. It has been listed for many months and the final price was 1/3 of the original price asked. It is completely rust free, has miter guide and 2 factory throat plates. Currently 7-1/2 hp 3 ph, I will be swapping the 5 hp 1 ph motor kept off a bellsaw planer I just sold to an Amish man who let me keep it. I have a 20" bandsaw, and 8" jointer and 6x48 sander each with the art-deco cast iron bases, and another 12-14 with sliding table and scoring motor bought, I have to go get, then I look forward to using, and posting some more too dark pictures here.
