Checked the tools for sale classified in the local paper, as I always do when reading the paper, and the ad read:drill press and woodworking tools...hmmm...called, got the wrong gal, then the wrong guy, but he mentioned a table saw, ears perked up, then he said "its a thomas wilson or something like that", alarm bells start ringing, when I finally get the right guy, he's obviously young, clueless, selling his Father in law's stuff, a divorce, yada yada, says a hundred bucks, and pretty quick I'm skidding out of my driveway. Turns out to be a little critter, an I thinks, wow, just what I need , a jobsite saw! Everything checks out OK, not much but the miter guage missing, and no broken castings. So then we go to load it up...unnnnnhhh! The little sucker must have some lead ballast hidden away in there somewhere...I am sure not gonna go popping it in the back of my truck alone, but still, on a moblie stand, w/ a hep'er to load and unload, it still is fitting my plan, so away we go. So once back to my toaster to search the mothership for genealogy, I find I have unearthed a new species, i.e. there is no other like it in the photo archive. It has a sheet metal box and tilting arbor, so I assume is a newer vintage than the only other 8" benchtop saw in the archive. SN 52AB2A The fence clamp is of the model 1180 style, the handwheels are solid cast iron, table is 23 1/8" deep 37 1/8" wide. The thing was under a tarp in the yard which had seen at least one too many years of rain sun and snow, but the rust is superficial, and confined mostly to the top. This thing is built like a tiny brick outhouse. These are the before photos, will be doing the resto "as time allows", will have after photos to wow the masses someday?

Anyone who can help me ID the model number and vintage of this saw please contact me via my email listed here. Thanks.
