Comments:
I acquired this machine from a local sawmill operator that also sells tools. He had this machine and a 2500 Tablesaw (Boice Crane). He told me that the previous owner had passed on at age 88, and his family had asked him to sell the planer and saw. Story is that the planer has had "only about 400 board foot of lumber passed through it'. Not sure that I believe that, due to some missing parts, chiefly the crank on the elevation wheel, and the missing table guides (horizontal pieces that attach to the table, 4 in number). Hard to say until i tear it apart, and do a bit of a "refit". The previous owner was certainly not shy of using a grease gun though, as it has been pretty well oiled.
One other detail to note - machine appears to have been converted to belt drive, from direct drive at some point in its' life - note odd bracket on pulley side.

Also machine has intact dealer tag - from my own home town no less, London Ontario. "Waugh and McKewen, Machinery Dealers, London Ontario"
