Comments:
Picked this up from the son of the original owner. He didn't have enough space in his shop and wanted it to go to someone who would appreciate it. The table is in pretty good shape with just a couple marks on it. I am lucky to have the complete return spring assembly, according to the OWWM forums this piece is commonly missing. The only disappointments are that the belt guard was cut in half at some point and one of the pulleys has a dent in it.

After some research I see this model is in the '41 and '42. Some comments said that this is the first Craftsman drill presses. I'm not sure who the actual manufacturer is.

The catalog says this machine weighs in at just under 100 lbs without a motor. After struggling to get it on my workbench I can believe it.

Comments: Right side, there is a neat belt tension mechanism at the back right. The lever swings out and then the hinged motor mount can release the belt. Slide the lever back in and tighten the belt with a nut.

Comments: Left side. The motor casing is a little rusty but it seems to run fine, it could probably use new bearings.

Comments: Motor tag. I believe it is the original, I found a similar looking motor in the 1942 catalog which had the same switch but a different tag.
