Comments:

This machine takes a 12 foot sanding belt up to 8" wide. It is powered by a 3 H.P. induction motor manufactured by S. A. Woods Machinery Co. of Boston, Mass. The only modification I have made to the machine is replacing the wood platen on the left hand side of the machine with a ball bearing roller.

The machine came from the wood shop of the Omni Shorham Hotel in Washington D. C. where they made their own furniture back in the 1930's.

The only restoration work the machine required was cleaning all the babbit bearings of the old solidified grease.
