Another craigslists, roofless barn find for only $20.! It had been kept in a nice damp place so was far from mint but did clean up quite nice with a bit of elbow grease. At first I was not sure what I was going to do with but just didn't want to see it hitting the dumpster. Which was partly why I drug it home but after sparking it up and cutting some wood I was amazed! It cut through 2x4's like butter! The blade was apparently quite sharp. I was so amazed at how well it cut I made up a new steel base for it. See the pics below. It does need new tires... the ones on it now were and made by someone using electrical tape!! The motor was kind of shot also so added another one when I built the new base. I have already used it numerous times and really like it. I also added an old Home Craft disc sander to the base which runs off the same motor. Looks sweet in my welding studio. To use the disc sander you just lift up the motor and put the other belt on. Works like a dang. I do need to move the switch though for better access. Luckily I had an old rusty switch that matched the patina on this saw. Though the paint on it was quite rough shape with some experimentation I managed to clean it up saving the original time worn finish.

Comments: Here it is with the new base I made for it. The disc sander table is lower than the band saw table and it also sticks forward enough so that long stuff can still be sanded.

Comments: I still need to find the righ fence for this. The whole project is a little Mackey Mouse but does work for all that I need.
