I picked this up off a cool sailor guy who wasn't using it any more. He had an add on craigs for this one and a smaller one. Luckily for me I forgot to ask him about the smaller one.... that saved me some money! I had just decided to back off on the vintage tools already but how could I pass up this beauty! I already have two 24" Beavers from the same era. I had one very similar to this before but gave it away on the free section of my website awhile back. I was not into these vintage tools as much back then. Unfortunately this old junk does get into one's blood. I was happy that this one still had the original belt guard and most of the light fixture. I have some matching vintage electrical parts so should be able to get the light working again. At first glance I thought it was going to be very tippy with the narrow stand and on wheels but not the case. It is amazing how stable it is still. Just the same I may modify it somehow. As usual I will keep the original finish as I am a fan of the old original patina's these get over time. The only thing I regret on this one is the fact the original motor is gone. Hopefully at some point I can come up with another one. This thing runs quieter and smoother than a sewing machine!!

I am amazed at how stable it is even with wheels on this very narrow stand!

Unfortunately the motor is not original. Hopefully I can find the original one at some point.

I am guessing that the older stands were welded and not bolted? The metal is also a lot thicker than some newer stands I have here.
