The machine is in wonderful shape for it's age. Conformation from Leblond states it was built in 1908. When purchased it was in pieces, dirty, rusty, and I was very lucky everything was there. The compound is not original as it was rusted solid and could not be repaired. It took 2 years of looking to find one that would match the machine. About 200 hours labor and I own a piece of working American history. The machine holds trim and the accuracy is tight and has no chatter. It came with a 3 and 4 jaw chuck, faceplate, steady rest, taper attachment, and a gearing countdown and stop. I have had this machine about 10 years and it was a hefty upgrade from a 9" Southbend. The motor pullies were converted as the original drive was from overhead and there was no motor housing on the machine. Enjoy the pictures.
