Comments:

This machine was bought at auction from the Cooper Stair Co of Mundelein Illinois in November of 2011. The owner, son of original machine buyer, claimed to remember the purchase of the machine for $185 in the mid 1970's. He also stated "they are illegal to run in a factory because of how dangerous they can be". The machine as it sat on the production floor had large long wooden tables that were removed for transportation home. It appears that the top of the machine is of different vintage from the base as the top is not cast iron.
